Removal Technique
Our new Silicone Hydrogel material is highly
water retentive, resulting in a more slippery surface. When
removing these soft lenses from the eye, in some cases it may be
difficult to use the usual "pinch off" method as for normal soft
contact lenses.
An alternative removal approach is to apply lid pressure from
the top and bottom, using the same method as that for the
removal of an RGP lens.
